Kyrgyzstan police begin shutting down weddings after 10:00 PM

Kyrgyzstan has announced that all weddings and entertainment venues must close by 22:00 (10 PM). According to Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), the restrictions are being introduced under the country’s “law on silence.”

If the rule is violated, authorities will cut off electricity to venues operating past 10 PM. Tashiev instructed local administrations to strictly monitor compliance.

Following the announcement, raids were carried out in cafes, restaurants, and nightclubs in Bishkek and Osh. Many establishments were found violating the rule. Officials stated that inspections will continue and violators will be fined.
