Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait strengthen cooperation in healthcare sector

On the sidelines of the 9th Congress of Turkish Medicine, which is currently taking place in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Alymkadir Beishenaliyev held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Health of Kuwait Ahmad al-Awadi.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of healthcare. The Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic invited his colleague to visit Kyrgyzstan and expand bilateral cooperation. Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev noted that Kuwait actively supports the healthcare sector of Kyrgyzstan through charitable foundations. In particular, the NGO "As-Safa Center" is working to improve the material and technical equipment of healthcare organizations throughout the country.

In turn, the Minister of Health of Kuwait, Ahmad al-Awadi, also stressed that such Kuwaiti international charitable foundations as Al-Safa have no difficulties and are actively implementing projects for the construction of hospitals, and teams of doctors from Kuwait provide free medical care.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to work out a memorandum of cooperation in improving the organization of medical care and sharing experience.
