Kyrgyzstan and 84 other countries participate in a large-scale forum in Kazan

KazanForum brought together representatives of international organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, parliamentarians, investors and businessmen, top managers, diplomats from all over the world, including from Kyrgyzstan.

KAZAN, May 18 - Sputnik. The capital of Tatarstan is hosting the 14th International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum-2023", Sputnik Kyrgyzstan correspondent reports. The business program of the event is held at the international exhibition center "Kazan Expo".

KazanForum is the main platform for business interaction between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world. Its goal is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, educational, social and cultural ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Russia has a traditionally close relationship of trust with Muslim states, both bilaterally and within the framework of interaction with the OIC, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted in his welcoming telegram.

This year over 7,000 participants from 85 countries and 84 regions of Russia have registered at KazanForum. In total, 15 thousand people are involved in the event.

The forum brought together representatives of international organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, parliamentarians, investors and businessmen, top managers, diplomats from all over the world, including from Kyrgyzstan. About 200 events are planned, including more than 140 thematic sessions.

KazanForum participants will discuss Islamic finance and the halal industry, international cooperation, transport, logistics, industry, IT technologies, small and medium businesses, education, medicine, sports, innovations and other relevant topics.

In addition, within the framework of the event, businessmen from Russia and the countries of the Islamic world will take part in the business exhibition Russia Halal Expo, where they will be able to present their services and establish business contacts. Investment and infrastructure projects are also presented at the forum. As part of KazanForum 2023, the Russia Halal Market fair, a culinary show from chefs of Islamic countries and the fifth season of ModestFashion Day will be held.
