Kurban Bayit to be celebrated in Uzbekistan on May 27
The President signed a decree on the celebration of Kurban Bayit. According to it, the first day of Kurban Bayit in 2026 will fall on Wednesday, May 27.
Instructions were given to the regions to hold Kurban Bayit in accordance with national traditions, as well as to create comfortable conditions for visitors to shrines.
In accordance with the legislation, this date is a non-working holiday. Also, May 28-29 were designated as additional days off for all employees. Those who work a six-day work week will also have a day off on May 30. Thus, regardless of the type of work week, all 5 days off will be consecutive on the holiday.
