South Korean intelligence has reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un weighs over 140 kilograms and falls into a high-risk category for cardiovascular disease due to severe obesity. AFP reported this, citing South Korean intelligence services.
According to assessments by Seoul's intelligence agency, Kim Jong Un has long struggled with excess weight and is a heavy smoker. Nevertheless, no serious issues regarding his current physical condition have been observed, and he reportedly experiences no difficulty climbing stairs.
South Korean lawmaker Yun Kun-young stated that Kim Jong Un is under regular monitoring by a specialized medical team.
Kim Jong Un's health has previously been the subject of various speculations. His father, Kim Jong Il, and grandfather, Kim Il Sung, also struggled with excess weight and were heavy smokers; both leaders died of heart attacks.
