North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his support for Russia in the "fight against imperialism" during talks with Vladimir Putin. He assured that the DPRK has always supported the decisions of Putin and his government.
According to Kim Jong-un, Russia is now "riding to protect national sovereignty and security."
"We want to further develop relations, we have always supported Putin's decisions, as well as the decisions of the Russian government. I hope that we will always be together in the fight against imperialism and building a sovereign state," said the leader of the DPRK.
The leader of the DPRK arrived in Russia yesterday, September 12. Today's meeting was held at the "Vostochny" cosmodrome. Before the interview, they got acquainted with the assembly process of the "Angara" missile.
Two hours of talks were held at the beginning of the meeting, and then a banquet lunch was held in honor of the guests from North Korea. After a total of four hours of dialogue, the meeting between Putin and Kim ended. The leader of the DPRK left the Vostochny cosmodrome.
This is Kim Jong Un's first known public trip outside of North Korea since the coronavirus pandemic. The leader of the DPRK visited Russia before - in 2019.
According to the Western media, one of the topics of discussion between Kim and Putin may be the supply of weapons from the DPRK to Russia. According to Western intelligence services, Russia and North Korea are actively negotiating the supply of weapons that the Russian army can use in the war in Ukraine. In July, Shoigu paid an official visit to the DPRK. US intelligence assessed this trip as preparation for negotiations.
