Kim Jong-Un banned Western words in North Korea

Kim Jong-Un banned the words “hamburger”, “karaoke”, and “ice cream” in North Korea. He considered these words too western and called for them to be replaced by national ones. In his opinion, instead of the word “hamburger”, the words “dajin-gogi gyeoppppang” (meat two-layer bread), “eseukimo” should be used instead of “ice cream”. “Karaoke machines”, which are common in South Korea, should be called “Screen support machines”.
