The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan neither confirmed nor denied the information about the murder of the kidnapped deputy chairman of Orienbank Shukhrat Ismatulloev.
Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesman Nusratullo Mahmadulloev told Sputnik Tajikistan that the investigation into this case is not ongoing due to the lack of material evidence.
Records were published on social networks in which Rustam Ashurov, accused of killing two people - a border guard and a security officer of the Moldovan airport, confesses to his mother that he was also an accomplice in the murder of the deputy chairman of the Orienbank and threw his body into the Varzob River.
According to him, the motive was a robbery: the plans were to forcibly take away money from an employee of Orienbank and let him go.
So, according to the kidnappers, Shukhrat Ismatuloev had around 100-200 million bitcoins. However, in the course of the criminal acts and subsequent beating, the victim died.
It should be noted that information has repeatedly appeared in the media that the person involved in the case is a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Anti-Corruption Agency Dilshod Saidmuradov.
Recall that a citizen of Tajikistan, who arrived in the city by plane from Istanbul, on June 30 fired at the airport in Chisinau. The incident happened after he was banned from entering Moldova while crossing the border.
During the return procedure, Rustam Ashurov stole a pistol from a police officer, fired shots and killed two people - a border guard and an airport security officer.
During the arrest, the Tajik citizen was wounded by special forces and taken to the hospital in serious condition. As a result of injuries received during the assault, he died.
