A senior Israeli official has said that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died in the attacks and that his body has been found, Reuters reported.
However, Iran has not yet officially confirmed Khamenei's death. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there are growing signs that the supreme leader has died.
The 86-year-old Khamenei has ruled Iran since 1989, building a regional power that rivals Sunni Muslim states in the Persian Gulf and developing nuclear technology.
