ASTANA, August 22 - Sputnik. Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov gave instructions to carry out a harvesting campaign in Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, harvesting work began on time. To date, a total of 2.4 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops, or 14.1%, have been harvested in the republic.
"As you know, the summer turned out to be dry, as a result, a number of regions suffered. Less crops will be harvested there. In order to level the consequences of the drought, prompt measures were taken. In particular, funds will be allocated from the government reserve. In general, the situation is under control. Collected the harvest will definitely be enough. Kazakhstanis will not be left without bread," the head of government said.
