High tariffs for the transportation of goods through Uzbekistan to Tajikistan and Afghanistan are forcing Kazakhstan to look for new transit routes for supplies

The authorities of Kazakhstan are working to expand the possibilities of transit transportation of flour to neighboring countries.

This was announced by the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic Serik Zhumangarin.

According to the data presented by him, almost all deliveries go through the territory of Uzbekistan in the direction of Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

However, the minister claims that high tariffs are set for the transportation of goods, which becomes economically unprofitable.

In this regard, "Kazakhstan has begun work on expanding the possibilities of transit traffic to increase its exports and saturate the market with a sufficient volume of goods."

"It is important to maintain and increase the traditional supply of Kazakh flour," he stated.

Recall that from August 3 to 5, a business forum jointly with Kabul is being held in Astana.
