Health Minister Azhar Giniyat spoke about legislative work regarding limiting the sales of energy drinks, Kazinform correspondent reports.

Today, within the framework of the bill on public health, the Mazhilis is considering a norm initiated by deputies to ban the sale of energy drinks to persons under 21 years of age,” Azhar Giniyat said at a briefing in the Government.

According to her, the norm will be considered in the Upper House of Parliament in the near future.

The Ministry of Health supported this norm in view of the fact that young people and children are harmful to their health by drinking energy drinks. This norm is still being discussed and has not been adopted. We expect that the bill will soon be sent to the Senate, the minister added.
