The Republic of Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia and is the largest landlocked country in the world. With an area of approximately 2.7 million square kilometers, it ranks 9th in the world by territory size.

 History

The territory of Kazakhstan has long been home to nomadic tribes. During the Middle Ages, it was part of various Turkic khanates and the Golden Horde.

• In the 15th century, the Kazakh Khanate was established.

• In the 19th century, the territory became part of the Russian Empire.

• From 1936 to 1991, it was part of the Sovet Ittifoqi.

• Independence was declared on December 16, 1991.

 Economy

Kazakhstan has the largest economy in Central Asia. Its economy is primarily based on:

• Uranium mining (among the world’s leading producers)

• Metallurgy and mining industry

• Agriculture

Main trade partners include China, Russia, and European countries.

 Culture and Traditions

The Kazakh people have a rich cultural heritage. The traditional musical instrument dombra is widely recognized. One of the national dishes is beshbarmak.

Nowruz is widely celebrated as a national holiday.
Kazakhstan is known for its hospitality and deep-rooted traditions.
