The Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kairat Torebayev, said that due to the sanctions imposed against Russia after the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the country has banned the export of 106 types of goods to Russia. "We have imposed restrictions on the export of 106 different types of goods intended for military purposes. Their export is completely limited," said Torebayev. According to him, these goods include drones, specialized electronics and chips. "These 106 goods were not produced in Kazakhstan, but were previously re-exported through Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is being imported, not exported. They are produced not only in the West, but also in other countries," said Torebayev. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Jumangarin previously admitted that dual purpose goods were delivered from Kazakhstan to Russia. According to him, representatives of the European Union and the United States, which are responsible for monitoring the implementation of sanctions, have handed over to the Kazakh authorities a list of 7,000 products included in the sanctions - all of them, as the minister noted, are the country's trade with Russia. related to exchange. In response, the Kazakh government asked to reduce the list of goods included in the sanctions. As a result, the updated register includes dual-purpose goods found in damaged Russian military equipment in Ukraine. During his visit to Germany in September, the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, said that his country "follows the regime of sanctions against Russia".
