Kazakhstan and San Marino agreed on mutual visa-free travel

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry spoke about visa-free conditions for fellow citizens

Kazakhstanis will be able to stay there without a visa for up to 90 days during each 180-day period, department official Aibek Smadiyarov noted at a briefing.

An agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of San Marino on mutual exemption from visa requirements was signed on November 8, 2023.

“The document was developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and signed by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to San Marino concurrently Erbolat Sembaev and the Secretary of State of the Republic of San Marino for Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications Luca Beccari,” Smadiyarov said.

According to the international treaty, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of San Marino holding valid travel documents such as national, diplomatic or service passports are exempt from visa requirements for single or multiple trips for tourism, business and other purposes for a period not exceeding 90 days within every 180 days.

San Marino is one of the smallest states in the world. Located in Southern Europe, surrounded on all sides by Italy.

It was previously reported that on November 10, 2023, the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China on mutual exemption from visa requirements came into force.

Now Kazakhstanis can enter China for a period of up to 30 days from the moment of crossing the border, for a total of 90 days within six months.

In addition, Kazakhstanis have been approved for visa-free travel to Thailand for 30 days. The Thai authorities clarify that this is a temporary decision taken for the period from September 25, 2023 to February 29, 2024, and is being introduced as a test.
