In accordance with the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated December 25, 2025, a number of judges who issued decisions in the case of Akmal Shukurov were dismissed from their posts. This was reported by the Supreme Council of Judges.
The judicial powers of Murodjon Kadirovich Mirzajonov, Deputy Chairman of the Tashkent City Court, who commuted the sentence in this case, were terminated early. Also, members of the appellate court Turgunova Mukhtarama, Ilhomjonov Odilbek and Abidov Mirziyod were dismissed from their posts due to violations of the law. The Supreme Council of Judges confirmed that the resignations were related to this case.
At the same time, Farhodjon Ganiev was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Tashkent City Court, and Murodjon Ababakirov was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Andijan Regional Court.
It should be noted that the case of Akmal Shukurov caused great discussion on social networks, and an official investigation was conducted into this matter.
