Joint projects with German partners worth $ 10 billion are being implemented in Uzbekistan

In Tashkent, a number of events were held on the development of trade and economic, investment and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, dedicated to the”day of the German economy in Uzbekistan". This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of investment, industry and trade.

It was noted that more than 300 representatives of the business community of Germany and Uzbekistan, investors, as well as heads and specialists of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan attended the conference.

The participants of the conference noted that such large international events play an important role in further expanding business relations, developing bilateral trade, determining the prospects and opportunities for the promotion of joint investment projects and initiatives, strengthening relations between business circles of both countries in general.

The total volume of German investments in Uzbekistan in the last two years amounted to almost 2 billion euros. Also, at present, more than 100 joint projects with German partners with a value of more than $ 10 billion are underway.

In the last 6 years, the number of enterprises established in Uzbekistan with the participation of German capital has grown almost 3 times, and today this figure has reached 200. 17 joint ventures have been launched over the 6 months of 2023.

In July, it was reported that Germany was allocating 20 million euros to Uzbekistan and six other countries. In May, if Uzbekistan-Germany international Health Forum signed more than 70 agreements and memoranda with German companies and medical institutions worth more than $ 100 million in total.
