US President Joe Biden sent a letter to the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 11 and invited him to New York. The corresponding letter was published by Forbes.
In the letter, Biden thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for strengthening the strategic partnership between the USA and Uzbekistan, and also noted that the cooperation between the countries has reached a new level over the past year.
In addition, he specifically mentioned Saida Mirziyoyeva's visit to Washington in 2023.
"The United States firmly supports your efforts to implement political and economic reforms. We had the honor of welcoming your daughter Saida to the White House earlier this year. Her work and your commitment to gender equality and the prosecution of domestic violence are commendable," she wrote.
The US president also said that he is looking forward to the upcoming meeting of the UN General Assembly. At the end of the letter, Biden invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in the UN General Assembly and C5+1 meeting in New York in September this year.
"Then we will succeed in solving the most important tasks in the life of our people. I hope you will join me and our other leaders at the official C5+1 meeting in September to discuss how we can continue to work together to achieve our security, economic and environmental goals," Biden said.
