US President Joe Biden sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 28 - Independence Day.
According to Report, the congratulation says:
"Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of the American people, I congratulate you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.
The partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States has provided development in the region. Together we fight terrorism, take action against drug trafficking and prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In particular, during Russia's brutal war against the Ukrainian people, we were together in ensuring Europe's energy security. The United States will promote security and development in the South Caucasus for generations to come, and will continue to support a sustainable and just peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
I look forward to further strengthening our partnership in the coming year, including deepening security and economic cooperation. I wish you a joyful and prosperous Independence Day."
