Jeyhun Bayramov: Armenia does not intend to give up illegal activities

"The shelling of the Lachin border checkpoint on July 15 and the attempts of drivers of Armenian origin to bring contraband into Azerbaijan on the vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) show that the Armenian side does not intend to give up attempts to interfere in the sovereignty of Azerbaijan and from illegal activities."

According to Report, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this at a meeting with the head of the Azerbaijani office of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Dragana Kozhich.

The minister welcomed the ICRC's statement on 11 July that the committee does not support the movement of undeclared goods and the termination of employment contracts with drivers of vehicles carrying such goods.

J.Bayramov stressed the importance of preventing such cases in the future.
