Javohir Sindorov becomes the FIDE World Cup champion

At the FIDE World Cup 2025 held in Goa, India, Uzbek chess player Javokhir Sindorov defeated China’s Wei Yi in the final tiebreak and claimed the championship title.

Sindorov had previously beaten another Uzbek player, Nodirbek Yakubboev, in the semifinals.
