Javohir Sindorov becomes the FIDE World Cup champion

At the FIDE World Cup 2025 held in Goa, India, Uzbek chess player Javohir Sindorov defeated China’s Wei Yi in the final match tiebreaks to claim the title.

Sindorov had previously beaten another Uzbek player, Nodirbek Yakubboev, in the semifinal.
