Japan exports warships again after World War II – buyer Australia

Australia stated that it was purchasing 11 of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ' 5,500-ton Mogami-class frigates. The settlement was valued at $ 6.5 billion, making it the largest defence agreement between Japan and Australia. Three ships will be built in Japan and the other eight in Western Australia.
These frigates replace the obsolete Australian Anzac Class ships. Mogami frigates have high-level automated systems that can be manned by a crew of only 90, with around 200 people required to operate on other similar ships.
