It will be mandatory to install traffic lights on pedestrian crossings on newly built roads in Uzbekistan

The presidential decision "On measures to implement the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy in 2023 in a high-quality and timely manner" was adopted. According to it, from January 1, 2024, it is mandatory to fully equip pedestrian crossings with traffic lights on all newly built two-lane and more highways in settlements. The heads of ministries and agencies, the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the governors of regions and the city of Tashkent have been designated as responsible and personally responsible for the effective organization of the implementation of the presidential decision.
