TASS airport director Said Ramazonov reported that the damage caused to the Makhachkala airport due to mass riots on October 29 is estimated at several million rubles. Equipment and infrastructure were damaged, cameras and fences were broken.

"The damage amounted to several million rubles. No more than 10 million rubles," says Ramazonov.

According to him, the rioters destroyed the cameras and fences. Ramazonov added that the airport employees suffered more moral damage than physical damage.

According to the official Telegram channel of the airport, investigators are currently working at the scene of the incident.

"As soon as the airport employees are allowed to eliminate the consequences, they will carry out repair and restoration work and clean the area," said Ramazonov.
