Earlier, it was reported that 21 people died in a fire at a hotel in the Malviya Nagar district of the southern city of New Delhi, India.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs reported that one citizen of Uzbekistan was among the dead. According to the Ministry's spokesman, Randhir Jaiswal, 13 foreign nationals died in the incident. Among them are citizens of Mozambique, Nigeria, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Liberia, Congo and Iraq. More than 20 other foreigners were also injured. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs is working with the embassies of the countries of the victims and the deceased to provide necessary assistance.
