Urgut district of the Samarkand region, it was found that the archaeological monuments were damaged, and a criminal case was initiated. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office. During one of the control measures aimed at the protection and preservation of historical monuments by the prosecutor's office, it was found that 163 cubic meters of land area of the archaeological monument "Tolkyrtepa-1" located in the "Mingtepa" neighborhood of Urgut district was excavated using special equipment, and 4 billion soums of damage was caused to the historical object. . Also, the medieval "Teshiktepa" located in the "Quyiqishloq" quarter, "Kulqishloqtepa-2" in the "Dehkhanabad" quarter and "Mozortepa" in the "Ogahiy" quarter of this district were damaged in total due to the partial destruction of 5 billion soums. According to the results of the investigations, criminal cases have been initiated and investigations are being conducted. According to the legislation, these criminal acts are considered serious crimes, and the guilty persons are punished with imprisonment for up to 7 years.
