A wild monkey was discovered being kept in the basement of a computer center in the Qorasuv-6 neighborhood of Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulug‘bek district.
The situation came to light during a raid by environmental police officers. The monkey has been transferred to the Tashkent Zoo to ensure its safety and proper ongoing care.
The Department of Ecology reminded the public that keeping wild animals without appropriate conditions and expert supervision can pose risks to the animals' lives and health, as well as to public safety.
