It is planned to plant 85 million saplings in Uzbekistan by winter

From October 25 to December 1, the "Autumn Tree Planting Season" will be announced.

It is planned to plant 85 million trees. The Forestry Agency was instructed to deliver 200 saplings to each neighborhood free of charge. In addition, each regional governor distributes 300,000 saplings to neighborhoods free of charge. Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting of video selectors was held regarding the effective organization of the autumn season of "Yashil Makon". The implementation of the nationwide project "Green Space" was considered.

It is noted that over 1,200 hectares of green gardens and public parks, more than 1 million hectares of green areas and pavements were built in housing estates in the 2 years since the project began.

This year, from October 25 to December 1, the "Autumn Tree Planting Season" will be announced, during which 85 million trees are planned to be planted.

It was emphasized that leaders of all levels, ministers, governors, neighborhood activists, public figures, luminaries, artists and sportsmen, famous bloggers should set an example.

A Republican headquarters will be established for this purpose. Heads of the Academy of Sciences, Soil Science, Forestry Institutes, and Forestry will also be members of the staff. Based on soil analysis and climatic conditions, the headquarters determines where, when, and how much to plant which type of seedlings.

Officials were instructed to organize seedling fairs in all districts and neighborhoods for a month and deliver 30 million seedlings in the autumn season.

The head of state drew attention to the need not to repeat the mistakes of previous years in the autumn season. In particular, he emphasized the need to increase interest in planting seedlings.

In order to change the situation in this regard, it was decided that the banks of roads, railways, rivers and canals will be given to residents and entrepreneurs without changing the land category.

At the meeting, it was noted that it is necessary to increase the interest of the population in planting trees and to further strengthen the promotion work. It was noted that from now on, the funds of the Public Works Fund of the Ministry of Employment will be directed to the neighborhoods themselves, and they will direct these funds to tree planting, maintenance and cleaning activities.
