"Dunyo" reports that the employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with the newly appointed members of the "Italy-Central Asia" group in the Italian Parliament.
It was attended by Fabrizio Bensoni, the chairman of the "Italy-Central Asia" parliamentary group, Roberto Sorbello, the general secretary, Giangiacomo Calovini, Paolo Formentini, Fabio Petrella, Piero Fassini, Ettore Rozato and other deputies of the group.
The attention of the deputies was drawn to the declaration of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Italy Jorja Meloni on the establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries during the high-level visit to Italy on June 8-9 this year.
"The signing of this document with Italy, the first among Western European countries, is of great importance for both countries," said the Ambassador of Uzbekistan.
Referring to the bilateral relations in the field of education, the diplomat noted that the Polytechnic University of Turin and the University of Pisa are successfully operating in Tashkent. It was also announced that the campus of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli University is planned to be opened in Bukhara.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to organize a meeting in the form of a video conference between the cooperation and friendship groups with Italy and the "Italy-Central Asia" group, which was established in the chambers of the Oliy Majlis in September this year.
