According to deputy Alexey Goncharenko, the Ukrainian leader "decided to hold presidential elections next year." President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has ordered his office to begin preparations for the presidential elections in the spring of 2024. This was announced by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexey Goncharenko (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring).
"According to my information, Vladimir Zelensky has decided to hold presidential elections next year. He instructed the office of the president to prepare for the elections, which are planned to be held on March 31, 2024," the deputy said on the Espresso TV channel.

Representatives of the presidential administration have not yet commented on this information. On November 3, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba told Sky News that Zelensky is considering holding presidential elections in the spring of 2024. Parliamentary elections in Ukraine were supposed to be held in October this year, but they did not take place under martial law.

Ukrainian laws prohibit holding presidential elections during martial law. Zelensky has repeatedly stated that the presidential elections can take place only after the end of hostilities. However, Kiev's Western partners insist on holding them within the stipulated time frame. Zelensky's rhetoric has changed somewhat, in one of his interviews he allowed elections to be held under martial law if the West pays for them.
