In the new academic year, 206 thousand 857 applicants have the opportunity to study at state higher education institutions in the republic. 43 thousand 783 of them study on a grant basis, 163 thousand 74 study on a fee-contract basis. At the press conference on the admission for the current academic year, the head of the department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Abduvali Khalikov, emphasized that the quotas have been increased. "Compared to the previous year, the grant for the bachelor's (full-time) program was increased by 10%, and the contract was increased by 1%. This means that in the new academic year, compared to 2022, 10 percent more children will be able to study on the basis of a state grant," he said.
