Israeli Foreign Minister arrives in Ashgabat

The Israeli Foreign Minister arrived in Turkmenistan from Azerbaijan, completing one visit and starting another.

The corresponding publication was posted by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on his Twitter account.

"I landed in Turkmenistan on a historic visit, 29 years after the last time an Israeli minister came here." - noted in the message.

He also wrote that he would open an Israeli embassy in Ashgabat and hold meetings with the president and other officials of the country.

"Relations with Turkmenistan are of great importance in terms of security and politics, and this visit will strengthen the position of the State of Israel in the region," said Eli Cohen.
