Israel seizes Gaza aid flotilla

 

The Israeli navy has seized the British-flagged aid ship Madeleine, which was trying to break the blockade of Gaza. The ship was carrying 12 crew members, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and European Parliament member Rima Hassan. Thunberg made a video appeal before her capture, asking her government to take action.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said all passengers were safe and had been given water and sandwiches. The ship is now being taken to an Israeli port

Israel also called the move "pro-Hamas propaganda," while Hamas condemned it as "state terrorism."
