"Islamic Enlightenment" scholarship to be introduced for master's and doctoral students in the religious and educational field

Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with a presentation dedicated to the current activities and future plans of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. During the presentation, it was noted that the center receives an average of more than 6 thousand visitors per day, and over 150 foreign delegations and more than 2 thousand guests have been received during this period.

The complex has a Children's Museum and an Imam Bukhari Innovation Museum. The Imam Moturidi International Research Center has also been launched. A system of tour guides and supervisors has been formed to serve visitors. 810 scientific projects have been implemented, in which about 2 thousand local and foreign scientists have participated. 

More than a thousand artifacts have been returned to Uzbekistan. In particular, the library fund contains more than 3 thousand rare publications, some of which are adapted for people with disabilities. The center is served by robot guides, multimedia and interactive devices. The center is also included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the “World's Largest Museum of Islamic Civilization”.

During the presentation, the center's future plans were discussed. In particular, it is planned to include the scientific journal in the international “Scopus” and “Web of Science” databases, create a digital catalog of manuscripts, and launch a single integrated platform of scientific centers.

In addition, it is planned to introduce the “Islamic Enlightenment” scholarship for master's and doctoral students in the religious and educational field. In the future, it is planned to involve 20 thousand young people, imams-khatibs and atinoys in the activities of the center.
It was announced that research will also be conducted on collections of Uzbek cultural heritage stored in China, the USA, Germany, France and the UK.

A number of initiatives were also put forward in the field of media and international propaganda. It is planned to hold the 1st International Islamic Forum on the topic "Islamic Civilization: the Path of Peace, Tolerance and Science and Enlightenment", and to organize special presentations on the UN and UNESCO platforms.

Instructions were given to promote the activities of the Center in 55 countries, hold international conferences and exhibitions on the topic "The Role of Women in Islam", as well as expand cooperation with organizations such as the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies, ICESCO, IRCICA and TURKSOY.
