👣 Irish man walks barefoot from Istanbul to Ireland and sets a record
34-year-old Irishman Eamon Keaveny walked 6,805.83 kilometers barefoot from Istanbul to Ireland, setting a Guinness World Record.
His journey lasted 369 days. In addition to Turkey, Keaveny travelled through Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany, France, England and Wales.
Keaveny had previously set a barefoot walking record. In 2016, he walked 2,080 kilometers across Ireland without shoes. In 2023, he also crossed Ireland on a unicycle in 5 days, 5 hours and 23 minutes, setting a men’s record.
