The number of countries that want to recognize Palestine as a state is increasing. Following the announcement in Ireland and Spain on May 22, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gaar Støre said the country would officially recognize Palestine as a state and that the decision would come into effect on May 28.
In response, Israel recalled its ambassadors to Norway and Ireland.
