Iran's National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani Killed
Iran's National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani has been killed in an Israeli airstrike. His son Morteza and security chief Alireza Bayat were also killed in the strike. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has vowed to take bloody revenge for Larijani's death. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also said the death would not go unanswered.
Ali Larijani, born in Iraq to a family of ayatollahs, was one of Iran's most senior officials, a former nuclear negotiator and a close ally of Khamenei.
