Iran releases Nobel laureate Nargis Mohammadi on bail
The Iranian government has temporarily released Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nargis Mohammadi from prison on bail due to her deteriorating health.
It is understood that she suffered two heart attacks in prison and her condition has deteriorated sharply. She is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of doctors in Tehran. Her relatives and lawyers are calling for Nargis not to be returned to prison.
Nargis Mohammadi has fought for women's rights and against the death penalty for years.
