Iran has offered Uzbekistan to conclude an agreement on the cancellation of the visa regime, reports the Iranian publication "Tehran Times". On October 18, the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abduhakimov discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with his Iranian counterpart Ezatullah Zargami in Samarkand. In particular, the Minister of Tourism of Iran proposed to cancel the visa regime between the countries. "When I visited Bukhara, I felt how close these two nations are. We support the arrival of Uzbek tourists to Iran, and we also believe that Uzbekistan should have priority for Iranian tourists who are planning to travel abroad," he said. Also, Zargamiy emphasized the need for countries to develop land travel in order to develop mutual tourism. To achieve this, it is proposed to cooperate with Turkmenistan. Iran is considering easing the visa regime for citizens of 60 countries, including the possibility of unilaterally canceling the visa regime. Source: Uzreport.uz
