Iran is helping Russia build a drone factory — CNN

During a briefing, analysts of the US Department of Defense Intelligence Department reported that Iran is helping Russia build a factory for the production of drones in its country, CNN reports.

Representatives of the US intelligence service say that the production capacity of the plant will allow the Russian Federation to create a stockpile of unmanned devices much larger than the number of drones purchased from Iran so far.

According to analysts, the construction of the plant could be completed in early 2024. According to them, the start of the plant can have a significant impact on the course of the conflict in Ukraine. The Pentagon's intelligence agency claims that Iran regularly sends equipment to the Russian Federation to help with the construction of the plant.

Earlier, Washington blamed Iran and Russia for plans to build a drone production plant. In particular, the United States has released photos of a factory that is believed to be located in the territory of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan.
