iPhone may be banned in Russia

A draft law prohibiting the sale of smartphones without access to the single "RuStore" application store was submitted to the State Duma. According to him, it will be necessary to allow Apple to install third-party application stores in Russia. If the company does not do this, the sale of iPhone and other Apple gadgets in the country will be prohibited.

According to Anton Gorelkin, the new law will enter into force on September 1, 2025. It will take Apple 1.5 years to review the decision to allow alternative app stores.
