iPhone 16 Pro Max cameras lag behind Chinese competitors

Experts from the DxOMark laboratory compared the cameras of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. Tests have shown that Chinese smartphone manufacturers have made significant progress, especially in areas such as telephoto and ultra-wide-angle photography.

According to DxOMark, Chinese smartphones capture more details, especially at long distances. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Vivo X100 Pro do a great job of capturing skin tones and reducing noise. In contrast, iPhone 16 Pro Max photos showed more noise and blurred details.
