Investments worth $7 billion and 70,000 jobs are planned for Andijan.

A meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held to address the socio-economic development of the Andijan region and the increase of household incomes.
It was noted at the meeting that during the first half of the year, the region's economy grew by 8.8 percent, industry by 9.2 percent, services by 16.1 percent, and investments by 8.9 percent.
The President emphasized the need to attract $7 billion in investments to the 1,000-hectare industrial and entrepreneurial zone in Andijan and to create at least 70,000 high-income jobs.
A task was also set to direct investments toward projects that utilize modern technologies, generate high value-added, and create stable jobs.
Attention was also paid to issues regarding information technology, skilled personnel, and the diversification of exports and investments.
