Investigation against the president of South Korea

Following the declaration of emergency martial law by South Korean President Yun Sok Yol, police began investigating him, suspecting him of the riot. South Korean President Yun Sok Yol declared an emergency martial law in the country on the evening of December 3. He became the first head of state to declare martial law in the country in 45 years. The activities of Parliament and political parties were banned. The head of state explained this decision by the need to “protect the constitutional order and eliminate North Korean supporters within the country.” The South Korean opposition also presented an impeachment project against the president to Parliament. Voting should take place within 24-72 hours of the consideration of the project in session.
