International Criminal Court issues arrest warrant for Netanyahu

The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and Deif. The decision was made for “crimes against humanity and war crimes” committed between October 8, 2023 and May 20, 2024. The court noted that Israeli officials obstructed humanitarian aid and used all means at their disposal to prevent the civilian population from receiving aid.

In May of this year, South Africa (SAA) filed a complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, asking the court to halt Israel’s offensive on Rafah and allow unhindered access to Gaza for UN officials, humanitarian organizations, journalists and investigators.
