Indians celebrated Holi in Tashkent

Representatives of more than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups live in harmony in Uzbekistan. This is certainly due to the tolerance of our people.

The Indian people celebrate Holi every year in late February and early March, as a celebration of the victory of spring over winter, for two or three days after the full moon. Indians believe that this holiday is the victory of good over evil.

Each color in the festival has a specific meaning: red is the color of enthusiasm, blue is Krishna, i.e. faith and spiritual perfection, green is the color of men, fire is the color of the sun, knowledge and renewal, yellow is the color of health and peace.
