In India’s Kerala state, a helicopter carrying President Droupadi Murmu became stuck after landing on a newly poured concrete helipad that had not yet fully set.
The incident occurred during the president’s official visit to the region. According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter’s landing gear sank slightly into the soft concrete upon touchdown, but thanks to the quick reaction of the crew, no injuries or significant damage were reported.
Authorities later confirmed that the helipad had been used before it was technically ready for operation. Officials responsible for approving the site are now being identified.
The Indian Air Force and Civil Aviation Department have launched an investigation into the matter to assess the helicopter’s technical condition and adherence to safety regulations. President Murmu is reported to be unharmed.
