India launches missile strikes on Pakistan

On the night of May 7, India launched “Operation Sindoor” and launched missile strikes on targets around the Pakistani city of Muzaffarabad. The explosions disrupted power supply in the area.

The Indian Ministry of Defense said that the attacks were aimed at “terrorist infrastructure” in Pakistan. It said that nine facilities were hit by ballistic missiles, but no military bases were hit.

Pakistan confirmed the strikes and announced that it would take retaliatory measures and close its airspace for 48 hours.
