In Uzbekistan, the salary of school teachers and kindergarten teachers is expected to be doubled

In Uzbekistan, it is planned to double the salaries of teachers of preschool and general secondary educational institutions. This is provided for in the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy project announced for public discussion.

The project includes reforms of the education system, and in order to improve the status of pedagogues, align their knowledge and skills with international standards, it is planned to send a thousand educators and teachers to foreign countries for training and internships. The qualifications of 500,000 employees of preschool and general secondary education organizations will be continuously improved.

The aim is to bring the preschool education system to a new level and ensure full coverage of children. It is planned to reach 100% coverage level of children with pre-school education and preparation groups, to increase the number of non-state pre-school education organizations to 56 thousand, to establish 2 thousand kindergartens. All state pre-school educational organizations were provided with a computer classroom.

Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, it is planned to create 500,000 new capacities annually in the general secondary education system, and to increase the number of study places to 7.5 million. According to the project, 8 billion dollars will be allocated for the construction of schools with a capacity of 2.5 million students. 699 new textbooks, exercise books, teaching methodology books and mobile applications will be created. 208 boarding schools named "Talent - Aspiration - Prospect" will be established.

Every year, 500 foreign specialists with language skills are recruited to educational organizations.

The teaching load of elementary school teachers is set at 16 hours, and at high school teachers at 18 hours. Free school buses will be launched for students of 715 general secondary educational institutions located in remote and remote areas.

In addition, it is planned to fully provide preschool education organizations and general secondary education institutions with clean drinking water and modern sanitary and hygiene infrastructure.
